The Congress on Thursday launched a spirited 'bael buddhi' campaign targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi across social media platforms. This comes as a direct riposte to PM Modi's recent 'balak buddhi' jab at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a Parliament session. Watch full video:

The Congress flooded the social media with a barrage of posts and memes labeling PM Modi as 'bael buddhi,' a term loosely translating to 'bull-headed.' In a series of pointed messages, they mockingly defined 'bael buddhi' as someone prone to nonsensical rhetoric

One of the posts challenged the audience, asking, "Do you know who is bael buddhi?" before answering, "The one who talks nonsense." They supported this claim by highlighting snippets of Prime Minister's remarks, including his assertion of having a photographic memory, which they derided as another instance of misguided self-promotion.

The clash stems from Modi's earlier remarks in the Lok Sabha where he indirectly referred to Rahul Gandhi as 'balak buddhi,' insinuating childish behaviour. PM Modi criticised Rahul Gandhi's conduct during parliamentary debates, accusing him of theatrical displays to garner sympathy.

"The entire Congress ecosystem seems to be engaged in appeasing a child these days," PM Modi remarked, taking a swipe at the opposition leader's recent actions.

PM Modi further ridiculed Rahul Gandhi's claims of being unfairly targeted, drawing comparisons to a child's cries for sympathy. He recounted a tale of a boy boasting about his achievements, only for reality to reveal his shortcomings, likening it to Congress's electoral performance.

The verbal sparring underscores the escalating tensions between the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress, with both sides resorting to sharp rhetoric and social media tactics to sway public opinion. As political dynamics continue to intensify, such exchanges are likely to shape the narrative leading up to future elections.
